Vietnam School and Public Holidays In 2018

Now that we have welcomed in the New Year, it’s time to start planning for the next holiday!

Here’s a schedule of school holidays as well as public holidays in 2018. Do bear in mind that some of the school holidays may differ.

These are the dates however that you can pencil in your diaries so you can start planning your mini-breaks and long summer holidays from... now!

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS IN 2018

Spring Half Term

Half term holidays are dependent on your school but they will mostly fall between February 12th and 20th, which includes the Lunar New Year holidays.

April Holidays

Anniversary of King Hung and Reunification Day will together make for holidays from April 25th to 30th 2018.

May Holiday

Schools across Vietnam will be closed on Labor Day May.

Summer Holidays

Depending upon the school, the last day of this academic year is expected to be June 15th. The summer holiday will run until August 7th.

National Day Holidays

Schools will be closed on September 2nd and 3rd 2018.

End of Term 1 Holidays

This is scheduled between October 15th and 21st 2018.

Christmas Holidays

The Christmas holidays or winter break will start from December 17th and run until January 9th, 2019.

2018 PUBLIC HOLIDAY DATES

Lunar New Year:  February 15th to 21st

Hung Kings Commemoration Day: April 25th

Reunification Day:  April 30th

Labor Day:  May 1st

National Day:  September 2nd and 3rd
