A new school for 800 kindergarten and primary students is due to open in Binh Duong in September 2019. Construction has started on the Viet Hoa International School in Thu Dau Mot city, north of Ho Chi Minh City. There is only a limited of choice of international schools in this area, with the all-through Viet Anh School being the largest.
The 13,000 sqm school, which is reportedly being built at a total cost of VND 180 billion, is expected to enrol children from the large community of Taiwanese, Japanese, and Korean families living in this southern province.
The curriculum will follow the Montessori schooling method, lessons will be in English and Chinese, and facilities at the school will include 30 classrooms.
