This version of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' by Suzanna Eggar, Grade 3 Teacher at Fairgreen International School in the UAE, has been prepared specially to "encourage and bring hope to a world that right now feels a little scary and uncertain". The rendition uses sign language to make her version accessible to so many more of our readers.
We invite students from all nations to perform in their native language too. If your child would like to share their own version of the "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" song, please email [email protected]. Please make sure to let us know the name of your school...
All over the world, children and young people have united under the message ‘Keep up the Fight’. For children in China, where the movement originated, the message is “Jiayou”.
This message inspired us to begin this project. The children of China, seeing Covid-19 take hold in Italy, passed on their slogan of positivity to their counterparts in Lombardy and then across the country. Today, all around Italy, the words “andra tutto bene” (all will be well) now accompanies beautiful rainbow drawings made by children to brighten their locked down neighbourhoods, and to give hope to anyone who sees them. We want to share the UAEs' messages of light and hope too...
Jiayou. Andra tutto bene. Keep up the fight.
Please enjoy this moment of musical hope, positivity and worldwide connection from Ms Eggar and all of the WhichSchoolAdvisor.com team.
Thank you Suzanna, for your song...
