Located southeast of Hanoi, Hoang Mai is a largely residential neighbourhood where life moves at a much slower pace than in the city centre. This expat-friendly district is designed for modern living with its wide offering of high-end residential compounds. As well as having amenities and shopping facilities, Hoang Mai is home to two decent international schools.
At the heart of Hoang Mai is Gamuda City, an up and coming 500-hectare development that includes housing, healthcare, business districts, shopping malls and recreational facilities. Still under development, Gamuda City has a large park and will soon open a large shopping and entertainment centre, Gamuda Central.
Transport
Residents tend to travel mostly on motorbikes or cars and, while there is only a basic public transport system here, you can hail a motorcycle taxi or bus to travel anywhere within Hanoi.
Schools

Healthcare
A new international hospital is due to open in Gamuda City offering family medicine and other health services.
Attractions
The main attraction here has to be the new Yen So Park in Gamuda City, as well as the sporting facilities at the Gamuda Gardens Life.
Shopping
There are convenience stores in most residential compounds and plans to open a large shopping destination in Gamuda City very soon.
Bars and restaurants
There’s a low key nightlife here but a decent choice of family-friendly restaurants and cafes.
