Now that we have welcomed the New Year, it’s time to start planning for the next holiday!

Here’s a schedule of school holidays as well as bank holidays in 2018. Do bear in mind that  school holiday dates may vary slightly between schools.

These are however the dates that you can pencil in your diary now and start planning around for both mini-breaks and longer summer holidays!


Autumn Half Term

Half term holidays are dependent on your school but will either be the week of Monday 12th to Friday 16th February 2018, or the week of 19th to 23rd February.

Easter Holidays

Easter will fall on April 1 and most schools are expected to break either March 29th or 30th through to April 15.

Spring Half Term

The Spring half term is expected to be from May 28th to June 1st.

End of Spring term, start of Summer Holidays

The last day of this academic year is expected to be July 24th or 25th. Schools will break until September 3rd 2018.

Winter Half Term

The Winter half term is expected to fall between October 26th and 30th 2018.

Christmas Holiday

The Christmas holiday or winter break should start on December 21st and end on January 9th, 2019.



Good Friday: March 30

Easter Monday:  April 2

May Bank holiday: May 7

Spring Bank Holiday:  May 28

August Bank Holiday:  August 27

Christmas Day:  December 25

Boxing Day:  December 26
