The Palace Nursery opened in Al Safa 2 in 2014.

The Palace Nursery opened in the residential area of Al Safa 2 in 2014.  The nursery is the 'sister' nursery to Kids Palace Nursery in Umm Suqeim.

The nursery is housed in a large residential building opposite to Al Safa 2 park.  The nursery caters to children age 12 months to 4 years.

Speaking to WhichSchoolAdvisor, Nursery Manager Sara Afshar told us,

"We work hard to ensure that all children are learning at their own pace in a holistic way.  We provide spacious classrooms and excellent facilities.  Overall, our nursery is a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children".

Nursery staff are well qualified with a minimum of a Cache* Level 3 qualification.  Manager have a Cache Level 5 or equivalent and all remaining staff are given a thorough induction and regular training.

[*Cache qualifications are qualifications awarded by the Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education - the UK's leading provider of vocational qualifications for those working in the care and education sectors. Cache qualifications are divided into five different levels, ranging from Level 1 (entry level) to Level 5 (for experienced professionals).]

The nursery also has a dedicated SENCO (Special Education Needs Co-Ordinator) who is in place to support any children with additional learning needs and to train and upskill same to do the same.

The nursery offers the English Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, with a particular emphasis on learning through arts.  The team promote a range of opportunities for learning and self development through music, drumming, painting, drawing, reading, yoga and more.  In addition activities such as piano lessons, Zumba, Brain Gym and meditation are offered for parents to choose from.

The team organise regular trips for the children - recent visit have included The Green Planet, Atlantis Aquarium, Legoland and more.  There is no extra cost to parents for trips.

Facilities inside the nursery are extensive; there is a well stocked library and a huge play room with small-world play equipment, dress costumes and more.  In addition, there is also a music room with ballet beam, mirrors and a piano.  The team pride themselves in a space which is well maintained and cleaned.  There is an emphasis on minimising the spread of infection and on health and safety.

The outdoor space is a strength of the nursery and features a large track area, shaded play area with swings, see-saw, climbing frames, slides and playhouses.  There is a football pitch where the children have sports, yoga and dance lessons when the weather allows.
