The story so far...

Owned by Al Ain-based group, Liwa Education, the addition of a fourth nursery now brings the total number of operations to seven.  These include the Teddy Bear Nurseries in Al Bateen, Al Mushrif and Mohammed bin Zayed City, together with Liwa International School and Liwa International School for Girls in Al Ain, and Liwa International School Abu Dhabi, located in Al Mushrif.

What about the curriculum?

The nursery follows the Creative Curriculum© - an American curriculum with a particular focus on Life Skills and School Preparation. Children are taught through a Project Based Learning curriculum designed to be fun and engaging and carefully planned around the children’s needs, concentrating on three key learning areas and four specific learning areas. The curriculum is said to be "very effective and adapted for all age groups and their needs, encouraging children to develop new skills through active learning".

What about support for Students of Determination?

The nursery supports children with Special Educational Needs through an Early Intervention Program provided onsite in partnership with Applied Behavior Institute (ABTi). A dedicated learning support teacher provides one on one and small group work activities with the children using a wide range of materials and activities already setup in the Montessori Learning Area. Such activities focus on practical life, art and creativity, sensorial, math and language.

What about the facilities?

The nursery provides spacious classrooms, a large gym facility, and a Music room. There is a large outdoor space including a park-like area,  a Car Park, equipped with balance bikes, trikes, scooters and cars, play houses, Sand Play and a Splash area.

What about the fees?

Fees range from AED 19,500 to AED 33,000 dependent on the number of days attended. The group also offers Spring, Summer and Winter camps each year.
