The story so far...
Sunrise International School is a new school recently launched by the owners of the long-established Sunrise English Private School which has been in operation since 1988, originally as a villa school, prior to its relocation to Mussafah in 2006. The new school is located in the heart of the Karamah district of Abu Dhabi and has a capacity for over 4,500 students. It is currently open for admissions from KG1 to Grade 8.
What about the curriculum?
In common with its sister school, Sunrise International School also offers the CBSE curriculum.
What about Academic Achievement?
The original school does not publish its examination results, something we hope that the new school will do once its students reach that point. We encourage all schools to be transparent in this context, since whilst examination results are not the be-all and end-all of education, they are an important decision-making factor for families when choosing a school.
What about the facilities?
The school is located on a spacious new campus of over 10 acres and offers a wide range of state-of-the-art facilities.
What the inspectors say
Whilst Sunrise International School is unlikely to be inspected during its first year of operation due to the constraints imposed by the Covid 19 pandemic, its sister school was Good in both of its previous most recent inspections - the last one took place in May 2018. What about the fees?
Tuition fees are in line with those of the original school and are affordable for an Indian curriculum school starting at AED 9,720 in KG and rising to AED 12,900 for Grades 11 and 12 once open. Additional fees for Books (AED 460 to AED 920) and uniforms (AED 480 to AED 690) need to be added to the above figures.
