Solomon International School was due to open in the International Media Production Zone (between Jumeriah Golf Estates and Dubai Sports City) in September 2019 (postponed from September 2018 according to the KHDA website). Latest information suggests that this school will not, after all, open.

Solomon International School, a new IB school was set to open in 2019, offering places for students in Pre-KG through Grade 5.  However, no such opening has occurred and no plans to do so appear to be in the public domain.

This may be due to the fact that the Dubai school is not related to the Solomon School in Everett, WA, in the United States of America, which contacted WhichSchoolAdvisor.com to inform us of a dispute between the two organisations, as the US school's name and logo was being used without their approval.  The US school subsequently issued a cease and desist notice to the Dubai 'sister' school.

In so far as the Dubai school was originally listed by the KHDA as a planned opening (but no longer features on their website), we believe the intention to open was genuine.  However, with three schools already operating in Dubai Sports City - GEMS United School, Renaissance School and Victory Heights Primary School - it is hard to imagine that there will be sufficient demand for a fourth at the present time.
