RPS is a focused and ambitious community motivated to achieve excellence. Dedicated British teachers carefully design and adapt the UK curriculum to ensure outstanding progress is made by all pupils. The care and protection of the pupils has recently been rated as Outstanding by DSIB. Pupils thrive academically at RPS and achieve senior school places in high performing senior schools. Whilst the popularity of RPS has increased pupil numbers, families continue to express that it is the friendly and welcoming ethos that attracts them. The very good Foundation Stage department has flourished; young children settle into a nurturing environment where learning is achieved through play.
50% of the cohort are British. The Netherlands are also well represented.
No. However, places are limited for Foundation Stage 2.
RPS fully embraces the drive for innovative learning. Technology is central to the educational programme, enhancing the pupils' experiences. The majority of pupils make very good progress in English and the standard of writing composition is well-above average. This is achieved through a blended learning approach affording pupils opportunities for collaboration, independence and detailed analysis. Very good attainment in maths and science is achieved because pupils work in groups differentiated by abilty; this ensures that all pupils have an individualised education. The science lab, IT hub and STEM room offer opportunities for enterprise and experiments providing a firm foundation for senior school studies. Creativity is a feature of an education at RPS; music is represented by an orchestra, choir and musical performance whilst art is taught by a specialist teacher in a specially designed art studio. Pupils can learn about sustainability in our 'Peace Garden' where yoga and meditation classes are also undertaken. Above all, the focus at RPS is ensuring pupils' well-being and happiness. This is a school where the needs of each individual child are central to all that is offered.
