The Nursery is situated directly on Jumeirah Beach road, opposite the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Parking in front of the nursery is very limited, so parents are advised to park on the adjacent wasteland and cul-de-sac, which can be approached from the parallel road behind. Due to the flexibility of timings, this appears to cause no problems at all.

Inside the high surrounding walls separating it from the street, there is a large, well-shaded play area with an attractive, climbing frame and lots of sit-on toys. The cleanliness of the out-door area is striking. To the right, alongside the side of the building, is a long narrow, above-ground pool. This is used for water-based play by each of the groups at least once a week. The surrounding of the pool is well-kept.

The entrance hall to the double-storey building is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is very friendly even on a busy day. The see-through coffee-table housing a sizeable fish tank, is an eye-catching feature that will attract any young child. There is a large, bright soft-play room next door.

The Headmistress, Sarah Aime, was very informative, friendly and forthcoming, keen to show off the nursery and its facilities. Her passion for her work and her willingness to provide the best for each child under her care is evident from her engagement.

At the time of the visit all the children at the nursery seemed to be very involved, either snacking or playing. There were plenty of adults around to help them. Interaction seemed friendly and easy.

The London and Paris nursery, which opened over 10 years ago, caters to children between the ages of 4 months and 4 years, providing a comfortable learning and playing environment. The premises are not large, but they are perfectly suitable, with clean and bright classrooms.

This nursery has a sister school, Royal Beach Nursery closer to Sunset Mall along Jumeirah Beach Rd.

The nursery follows the British Early Years Curriculum, offering bilingual education in French and English. Teachers are predominantly from France, the UK, South Africa and the Philippines. Arabic, as well as ballet, gymnastics and hip-hop dancing are among the many different activities offered during the school day. Each group has between 15 – 18 children, depending on age, with 2 -3 adults looking after them.

The London and Paris Nursery opens from 7.30am to 8pm every day with the exception of government holidays. This offers wonderful all year round flexibility for working parents whose holidays are not in accordance with the academic year. The nursery is generally able to provide places for most children registered, but for certain age groups there may be a waiting list. Most children, however, gain a place within a few months of applying.

There is no doubt the pre-school offers children a warm and caring atmosphere. It is clearly a place where children will be able to grow and learn in a happy environment.
