Kensington Nursery Silicon Oasis is a private nursery for children located in Silicon Oasis, Dubai. The nursery was established in September 2011 and was one of two branches in Dubai, the second based in Umm Suquiem closing in 2014.

The school accepts children aged between 3 months to 4 and a half years of age, and follows an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum with 'High Scope' from the USA - something we have not come across before but seems very sound. Information for parents may be found here. Kensington Nursery Silicon Oasis also uses an assessment program, accredited by Durham University, that enables it to provide an international comparison of each child's progress.

Each classroom is said to be specifically designed to create a safe and stimulating environment, and has adopted the Reggio Emilia teaching methodology - in a nutshell, learning through self discovery, investigation and play.

The nursery is open from 7 am until 6.30 pm. It offers both full and half day options. Kensington also has a summer programme.

Fees depend on age group (Baby Haven - 4 months and up), Toddler and Nursery (18 months to 3 years) and Pre-School (3 years plus), number of days spent at the school (2,3 or 5) and hours (8-1pm to 8 to 6 pm). To get some understanding, according to the pre-school's web site, which looks like it is kept relatively up to date, fees for 5 days a week, for those attending the full day, are 42,400 AED.
