Jebel Ali Village Nursery Umm Suqeim is a private nursery for children from six weeks to four years of age located in Umm Suqeim 3 in Dubai.

The Umm Suqeim nursery, which opened in 2011, is one of six nurseries run by the Jebel Ali Village Nursery group. Its first opened in 1977 - in Jebel Ali - but that school is currently closed as part of a Nakheel redevelopment of the area.

Each nursery employs predominantly British and European trained teachers, and claims a low child to teacher ratio. The nursery encourages teacher parent relationships to discuss each child’s personal needs and progress throughout the year.

All Jebel Ali Village Nurseries follow a British, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Music and movement are also used to teach and encourage language and listening skills through rhythm, singing and playing instruments.

Jebel Ali Village Nursery Umm Suqeim is located next to the Burj Al Arab and contains 6 brightly coloured classrooms. Facilities include a large art room, children’s library, water play area, sand play area and shaded outdoor play areas with soft rubber tiles.

Fees are approximately 33,300 AED per year, mid to top end of the range, depending on how many days per week the child is enrolled (not including any additional fees). The school is open from 8am to 5:30pm Sundays through Thursday.

The nursery offers flexible hours.

The buzz

A relatively new nursery the Umm Suqeim nursery plays off the established reputation of the group as a whole which has strong and loyal following among particularly European expat parents.
