Children are regularly fed chocolate, oreo cookies and gummy bears as classroom activities. There seems to be an 'anything goes' attitude. Children are spoken down to. Not a very healthy environment for children.
At first visit to Jebel Ali Village Nursery in Arabian Ranches we were told that the school has a strict TV policy, maximum 15 mins a week, and only educational shows. Since when is 3 - 4 times a week watching Dora the Explorer or Tom and Jerry 15 mins a week? When raised to the Principal we were given a bemused look and told maybe teachers were off sick so we had to blend classes.
Not to mention that each week treats in the form of sugar were given to my 2 year old, again when questioned the response was oh it was probably someones birthday... just today a sugar cone with marshmallow and candy was given to the class... the cone was bigger than a standard sized one from Baskin Robbins.
