Heguru Dubai is based on the philosophy of right brain education and enrichment, which was conceived in Japan 30 years ago. This is the first centre to open in Dubai, with additional locations in Kuwait, Japan, China, Taiwan, Indian, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and Thailand.
The educational theory of right brain education is based on the work of Dr Roger Sperry in the 1960s who performed split-brain learning studies which revealed distinct differences between the left and right hemispheres of the brain.
The centre accepts children for Right Brain Training classes from 6 months to 6 years of age. There are also pre-natal classes that offer "specific activities that help you to get in tune with your baby."
There are no fees listed on the centre's website.
Classes are available Wednesday through to Saturdays, from 9:30am-4:30pm, and are conducted once a week, spanning an approximate 1 hour each.
