Does your school have a waiting list? In which years?

We have openings in most grade levels during the current school year.

What are qualities and characteristics that define your school and its students?

We are a pioneering education institution with a focus on sustainability in all its forms. As an International Baccalaureate school, we strive to empower students with a forward-looking education that inspires students to make a positive impact on the world.

How many nationalities are represented in your school? How international would you say your school is?

There is a great variety of nationalities represented at Fairgreen, including many European from various countries, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, many different Arab nationalities, United States and Canada.

Are there high proportions of a particular nationality?

There is a high proportion of British students yet we have a good proportion of a mix of other nationalities as well.

What is the teacher: student ratio in your school?

In Early Years, it is 1:10 and in PYP and MYP it will be anywhere from 1:12 to 1:22

Describe your school's approach to education and teaching?

As an International Baccalaureate school, we take a holistic approach to education. We strive to develop students that are creative, innovative, resilient critical thinkers with a global perspective. In addition to instilling knowledge, we focus on developing life skills so that students learn to be adaptable and prepared for the real world.

Physical education and sport is an important aspect of a healthy lifestyle. How does your school ensure children engage in physical activity?

Our students have regular PE lessons throughout the week and in a typical school year, Fairgreen offers a variety of after school sports and clubs that focus on fitness and athletics.

How does your school promote healthy lifestyles?

One of our pillars is "Wellbeing" and we have a comprehensive "Wellbeing Programme" that comprises mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. We offer a true culture of care at Fairgreen.

How do you promote healthy eating?

We promote healthy eating from a young age at Fairgreen. Located in The Sustainable City, our students learn to grow their own food and enjoy working in our various garden plots and biodome. They learn the importance of healthy food during these times and in lessons that span with the International Baccalaureate.

Does the school have cafeteria facilities for the students? How does it promote a balanced diet?

Yes

What is the approximate average cost of a lunchtime meal?

Students lunch period is 40 minutes.

What is the starting and finishing time of your school day?

We start around 8:15am and finish around 3:30pm. We have a staggered start and end time to help alleviate congestion so specific timing will vary depending on grade level.

Yes
