Emirates British Nursery is a private nursery for children between the ages of three months to four years of age. The nursery is one of three located within the United Arab Emirates.
Emirates British Nursery Mirdiff nursery was established in October 2001 and follows the British, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Emirates British Nursery, as a group, says it aims to provide “a safe and stimulating environment by cultivating honest values and teaching an equal opponent approach to values no matter what ethnicity, culture, religion, gender, level of ability or disability they may have”.
Classrooms in all nurseries are split into four age groups to allow children to play and interact with others their own age. These are the Disney babies (3 months to walking), Sea World (walking to 2 years), Jungle Animals (2 to 3 years) and Mini Beasts (3 years plus).
The nursery group as a whole has a solid reputation among UAE parents who talk about the quality care and facilities (although these will vary depending upon location). Parents we have spoken to who send their children to the Mirdiff branch sounded particularly enthusiastic.
The group says it values parental interest and involvement and encourages regular communication both informally and with scheduled parent/teacher meetings. Records are completed and observations made throughout the year, and a report is sent home at the end of the academic year. There is also a parent’s notice board in the reception giving information on special events and other general information.
The Mirdiff and Motor City nurseries are larger than the elder villa based Um Suqeim branch. It operates longer hours, takes children from an earlier age (3 months), and does offer more facilities. These include: A pre-school learning room, exploration and discovery room, a library, an ICT suite, an activity room, a sensory/soft room, a sand area, a bicycle track, two outside playgrounds, a sensory garden, a swimming pool, an art room, an auditorium, music and movement room, a nurses clinic and a sleeping room.
Emirates British Nursery does not provide hot food, but will refrigerate any meals brought in by parents.
Nursery fees depend upon the time spent at the pre-school.
