Emirates British Nursery is a private nursery for children between the ages of three months to four years of age. The nursery is one of four located within the United Arab Emirates.

Emirates British Nursery Mirdiff nursery was established in October 2001 and follows the British, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

The group has a four nurseries, the other three being located in The Villa, Dubai Silicon Oasis and  Motor City.

Amira Baker, the founder of the Emirates British Nursery group, says of the organisation,

"Emirates British Nursery was founded in Dubai in the year 2000. Since those early days the nursery has grown and developed, but the underlying principle of providing the highest quality childcare and pre-school education still remains true".

Our parent survey has received a relatively low number of respondents for this nursery, however, of those who have completed the survey, 83% would recommend the nursery to another parent.

The 28 classes area split into four age groups to allow children to play and interact with others their own age. These are the Disney babies (3 months to walking), Sea World (walking to 2 years), Jungle Animals (2 to 3 years) and Mini Beasts (3 years plus).

The nursery group as a whole has a solid reputation among UAE parents who talk about the quality care and facilities (although these will vary depending upon location). Parents we have spoken to who send their children to the Mirdiff branch sounded particularly enthusiastic.

The group says it values parental interest and involvement and encourages regular communication both informally and with scheduled parent/teacher meetings. Records are completed and observations made throughout the year, and a report is sent home at the end of the academic year. There is also a parent’s notice board in the reception giving information on special events and other general information.

The Mirdiff branch is a large nursery with capacity for 300 children.  Facilities are excellent and include a construction area, soft play room, library, mark making area, music room, discovery and exploration room, numeracy area, role play rooms, small world rooms, outdoor areas, playgrounds, sand and water areas, sensory garden, swimming pool, bike track and auditorium.  There is also a dedicated nurse clinic and sleeping room.

In addition to the core curriculum, the nursery also offers Arabic, Islamic and French tuition (all at an additional fee).

Emirates British Nursery does not provide hot food, but will refrigerate any meals brought in by parents.

Nursery fees depend upon the time spent at the pre-school. Times are from 08:00 am - 12:00/12:30 pm (with fees AED 9,950 AED for 5 days, 8,455 AED for 3 days and 7,600 AED for two days); 08:00 am - 3:00 pm (AED 11,130, AED 10,165, AED 8,990) and 08:00 am - 5:30 pm (AED 13,910, AED 11,880, and AED 10,380).
