Beaconhouse Private School in the Falaj Hazzaa School District is a UK curriculum that opened in 2019. It is owned by the Beaconhouse Group, who have two further UAE-based schools in Dubai and Sharjah, and a school in Muscat, Oman.

The story so far...

The Beaconhouse Private School, located in the Falaj Hazzaa School District in Al Ain, is the fourth school to be opened by the Beaconhouse Group in the UAE and Oman.  Three further schools, in Dubai Newlands School, in Sharjah Beaconhouse Al Khaleej International School, and in Muscat make up the group's presence in the Gulf.  Altogether the 44 year old Beaconhouse Group's schools are to be found in eight countries and educate over 300,000 students; predominantly following the UK National Curriculum. 

The Al Ain school, which opened in 2019, offer places from FS2 to Year 11 for the 2023-24 academic year. 

What about the curriculum?

Beaconhouse Private School follows the National Curriculum for England (NCfE) leading to GCSE/IGCSE in Year 11 and AS/A Levels in Years 12 and 13. Students in each age cohort study the same subjects, regardless of their background, nationality or level of academic attainment. 

What about the facilities?

Brief information is provided about the facilities at the school, which include classrooms with Wifi throughout, set in a modern, purpose-built environment with specialist science labs, a music room and library. Sports facilities include a Soccer pitch, basketball court, and a multipurpose hall.

What the inspectors say

Beaconhouse School Al Ain received its first ADEK inspection in the 2021-22 academic year.  An abbreviated version of the report was published, showing that the school had been rated Acceptable overall, based on evaluations of Students' Achievements, Teaching and Assessment, The protection, care, guidance and support of students and Leadership and Management.

What about the fees?

Fees for the 2023-24 academic year start at AED 20,450 from FS2 to Year 1, AED 24,540 from Year 2 to Year 5, AED 27,610 for Years 6 and 7 and AED 29,650 for Years 7 to 11 inclusive of books.  There are mandatory fees for school uniform to be added.
