Aspin Nursery's curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage with a strong emphasis on creating toys and play spaces using imagination and natural or recycled materials.

Aspin nursery is located in a new large cream villa set within a large walled garden. Two huge primary coloured shaded areas have been erected for play on either sand or astro-turf along with a wooden pergola shaded outdoor area.

WhichSchoolAdvisor.com was greeted by the young enthusiastic, smart female manager from the UK. She had grown up in Abu Dhabi and has recently returned to the UAE. She was revelling in the idea of being involved from the start as the project develops.

We visited during the initial soft launch and the owner, also from the UK, appeared to be fully involved sitting in the kitchen having a discussion with new staff members. We were shown around the building where there is a small library set up, a little sleep room set up for younger children as babies are welcome from six months up to four years. Everything is beautifully clean and fresh with colourful untouched toys ready for the new arrivals.

Classes are light and bright with big windows and have been given fruit names and painted to suit e.g lemon, apple, mango, watermelon. Every classroom has toilet facilities, tiny toilets for the little ones downstairs and the next size up for bigger children. Upstairs there's a large central play area which they are planning for a resource for all of the classes.

This looks like an exciting, convenient and well thought out nursery. If you're a parent with young ones at the pre-school, let us - and other parents - know whether you agree by taking the survey, or just leave a comment below!
