Al Thuraya School, located in Garhoud, followd a UAE based curriculum, teaching children from 4 to 18 years of age (KG to Grade 12). It is no longer inspected and no information exists online for the school.

Al Thuraya School was last inspected by the KHDA in the 2011-2012 academic year, at which point it was rated acceptable. Since that time the school has not been inspected, and its web site has disappeared. It does we believe continue to function however.

The web site links to its holding company - the Mohammad Omar Bin Haider Holding Group.

At the time of its last inspection it had 600 students on its roster, approximately 42% of which come from local Emirati families and the remainder from the Arab expatriate community.

The school had 63 full time teachers, giving it a relatively good teacher to student ratio.

Fees ranged from 6,625 AED for KG1 and KG2 to 12,801 AED for Grade 12.
