We have the strongest British trained teachers and follow the National Curriculum for the UK. We are aware that education is one of the most importants aspects in a child's life and with this they can build a better future for themselves and their community. Therefore, our focus is to teach a varied and broad curriculum with high expectations of our students. We provide additional support to ensure we close any gaps in students learning so they can access the learning in class. There is no ceiling to a child's learning and our teachers consistently provide challenge and support so our students make the best progress possible.
Our well being curriculum and PE team promote healthy lifestyles in school. This is also brought into the curriculm core subjects and and we reward students for demonstrating healthy choices. Within this, we also focus on mental health and personal well being. Our highly experienced School Counselor provides 1.1 and whole school support to encourage children and their families to practise positive health and well being strategies.
Children at Al Rabeeh School bring a packed lunch from home and are aware of the expectations we have about what should be included in the lunch. We frequently remind children at assembly too celebrating “Healthy Lunchboxes” with certificates.
In lunch box you child should have healthy food. We welcome sandwiches, fresh fruit and vegetables, yoghurt, fruit juice and milk. We would ask you not to send your child with “fast food” type options such as chicken nuggets or burgers and certainly no chocolate or sweets of any kind.
Research shows that our brains need water to stay active and alert. All children must bring water into school daily, in a spill-proof plastic bottle that they can take home at night to rinse and refill.
In addition to promoting healthy lunchboxes children at Al Rabeeh School benefit from a number of government initiatives such as ‘Super 11’ in conjunction with Damam Active Life. Our children regularly take part in events such as Junior Aquathlon’s, children’s runs in with Gulf Multi Sport, Manchester City FC sessions and the Daily Mile.
