What qualities and characteristics would you say define your school?

AKIS aims to empower young people from a wide range of diverse backgrounds to be fully prepared for living happy and fulfilled lives in the context of a rapidly changing world. Al Khaleej International School (AKIS) is a member of The Beaconhouse Group having almost 303,438 students in eight countries, and possibly the largest school network of its kind in the world. AKIS endeavours to be open to change, adapt, innovate and keep pace with the ever increasing needs of the society in order to equip our students for the challenges of the 21st Century. AKIS’s New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) accreditation is under process. The School offers following subjects: English Language Arts; Mathematics; Science & Technology; Robotics; ICT; Life Skills and Social Studies; Art; Music; Physical & Moral Education; Choice of a World Language, such as French. In addition to the above, we follow MOE’s mandatory subjects like Arabic, Islamic Studies, UAE Studies and Moral Education for Arabs and Non-Arabs. AKIS assesses students’ attainment and progress through comprehensive analysis of International Benchmark assessments such as MAP, PSAT, SAT, AP, TIMSS, PISA, and CAT4. In addition, AKIS is a platform for students to exhibit their talents through Extra and Co-curricular activities, events and competitions. All students are recognized for their flourishing talents and creativity by Al Khaleej Community through their awards and rewards programmes. AKIS ensures enjoyable learning environment through its strong infrastructure which includes state of the art indoor and outdoor sports areas, Primary and Secondary libraries, general and specialist science laboratories, Robotics Lab, Music Room, etc.
