Based in Sharaj, Al Amal Kindergarten and School for the Deaf officially opened in 1983 as a school that provides services to children who are deaf.
Al Amal School for the Deaf provides the specialized services of education, rehabilitation, and empowerment for deaf students from the age of 2 until the age of 20 and incorporates classes from KG1 until 12th grade.
The curriculum was developed by the Ministry of Education and offers courses specially designed for deaf children that include the use of lip reading, sign language and tuned pronunciation.
Al Amal Kindergarten and School for the Deaf aims to educate, rehabilitate, and empower its pupils to enable them to participate and have success within the wider community. It provides supportive services such as articulation therapy an audile clinic, consultation for distant cases, and follows up on students who integrate into public schools.
