At Ajman Academy we adhere to a healthy eating policy for students who purchase their meals through the cafeteria or bring their own packed lunches from home. Healthy guidelines are provided for parents who choose to send in lunchbox contents. In the cafeteria, all meals are Halal, nutritionally balanced and are prepared at the school using locally sourced ingredients and produce wherever possible. Younger children have their snacks sent to their classrooms whilst older students eat snacks in the school cafeteria. All children are supervised by class teachers and/or teaching assistants whilst eating. The cafeteria also caters to students with special dietary requirements, food allergies only.
The school has a responsibility to ensure that wherever possible we provide healthy eating choices for all students. We regularly work to ensure that healthy eating is also promoted within the classroom and children understand the food choices that we give them.
