Students at Bloom World Academy wrote personal thank you notes to their teachers today, expressing their appreciation for the work that they do. One note read 'Dear Mr Shafiq, I want to say thank you because you help me when I need help in a subject, you're very nice and you always make me laugh also." Another student wrote "Dear Miss Stinberg, I want to say thank you because you are teaching my own language. At first I didn't have a school that [taught] me German, but I found you, the first ever teacher that teaches me German, and I want to say thank you!"
Parents at Children's Oasis Nursery were asked to write a brief note to their child's teacher, telling them what their child loves about them.
One note read "Thank you to the Mariquitas Class team for always being so joyful and patient, consistent and encouraging. We love you so much" while another note read "You are amazing and so passionate about our kids. We appreciate the hard work and love that you give."
Staff at Jumeirah International Nurseries, along with an enthusiastic nursery parent, surprised children with a Teachers' Day flash mob style dance routine. The entertaining video was shared on the nursery group's social media channels today, with the caption "teachers light up children's lives and truly deserve to be celebrated today and every day."
Parents at Fairgreen International School surprised teachers with a special Teachers' Day Appreciation, with gifts to thank them for all that they do. Children decorated stones, with messages of thanks, which were laid as a pathway leading to the Parent Hub's appreciation presentation.
In a video to staff and students, Principal Zara Harrington said “Oh teachers here at Safa British, you are simply amazing. Thank you for everything you do each and every day.”
To mark the occasion, the school asked students to bring a small gift, linked to a pun, about how brilliant their teachers are. One student wrote “Ms Harrington, I DONUT know what I’d do without you”, on a gifted box of donuts, while another wrote ‘Teachers, you deserve BROWNIE points for all that you do” on a gift-wrapped box of chocolate brownies.
Teachers at GEMS Wellington Academy received a special treat from students today. Students gifted teachers with cookies with personally written postcards expressing their appreciation and gratitude, which were hand delivered to each teacher by the school's prefects.
