Many schools across the UAE made the decision to close on Sunday 12 January due to heavy rain overnight.

WhichSchoolAdvisor.com has been monitoring the situation closely, and we are pleased to report that some schools will reopen tomorrow (Monday), subject to weather conditions.

GEMS Founders School in Al Barsha has confirmed that the school will open on Monday 13th January.   In an online announcement, a school spokesperson said;

"We will reopen the school tomorrow on Monday 13th January and operate normal school hours".

The spokesperson went on to praise the work of the school's support team, saying that,

"Our outstanding operations and support team have worked tirelessly over the last 36 hours to make sure our school is ready to welcome the children".

In a message to parents, Ian Wallace, Principal of Horizon English School said that,

"School is planned to open, with the usual start times, tomorrow (Monday 13th January)".

In Meydan South, Kent College Dubai will also reopen.

WhichSchoolAdvisor.com will continue to monitor the situation and update this article.  Please contact your school for more information.
