A new Indian school opened this week in Dubai relieving some of the pressure for places in the city for the CBSE syllabus. The Bilva Indian School will eventually accommodate more than 3,000 pupils and is accepting enrolments for KG1 to Grade 6 for the 2014-15 academic year.
The school is located in Al Qusais School Zone and is run by Karnataka Lingayat Education (KLE) Society, a major Indian based educational group which owns more than 200 educational institutions. The scope of their provision includes school education, nursing, pharmacy, management studies, engineering and computer training.
The BIS campus is substantial spanning more than 240,000 square feet. Given its location it is intended to serve communities in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman.
