UAE National Day: 4-Day Weekend Announced!

The UAE Cabinet has officially confirmed dates for the UAE National Day and Commemoration Day holiday for 2022. The announcement was made on Thursday evening on Twitter via the UAE Media Office. 

The public holiday will run from Thursday 1st December to Saturday 3rd December. With Sunday being part of the usual weekend, this results in a four-day weekend in total. 

While it has not yet been specified by the authorities, it is likely that education establishments, as well as both private and public sector workers will receive the same number of days off. 

The UAE will celebrate its 51st National Day, marking the anniversary of the formation of the country in 1971. Schools across the country are expected to celebrate the occasion in advance of the holiday, as a major cultural event in the school calendar.
