The Al Najah Education L.L.C investment company which currently owns both Horizon Schools and a host of UAE based nurseries has announced its most recent acquisition, the Sabari Indian School (SIS).

The Indian CBSE curriculum K-12 school with a full capacity of 900 students is located on a 100,000-square-metre site in the Al Wuheida area in Dubai.

Al Najah Education board member, Nrupaditya Singhdeo, said of the transaction, "we are happy to have acquired Sabari Indian School, Dubai. We will be working closely with the existing leadership team at the school to ensure that education of the highest quality continues to be provided to all the children and parents who has supported Sabari Indian School since its founding in 2013."

The School only opened in 2013 and has not yet been inspected by the KHDA. It was hoped that the location would attract students from both Sharjah and Dubai, although it is not yet running at capacity.

SIS is the third school for Al Najah Education, and the first offering the Indian curriculum.

Al Najah already owns the extremely popular Horizon English School and Horizon International School in Dubai together with numerous nurseries and training institutes, across the Middle East and Asia.

Al Najah chairman Shailesh Dash said, "acquisition of Sabari Indian School in Dubai is in line with our strategy to build up one of the largest and most diversified education companies in the MENASEA region, with a focus to provide quality education to children and contribute towards the social development of the regions in which we invest in."
