In an interview, published on SchoolsCompared.com, Dinesh Kothari, Founder and Chief Executive of Interstar Education, reveals his intentions for the school also included boarding school facilities.
"The [exact] structure of these schools is not decided, but we are exploring building a highly academic, all-girls, British curriculum day and boarding school in the premium sector - the first in the UAE and the region. We will engage with the leadership of the KHDA to develop this project to ensure it aligns with the broader vision of the UAE."
Mr Kothari, with his son Amit Kothari, Executive Director of Interstar Education, were inspired by the call from parents for an equivalent in the UAE.
“We are at various stages of discussions with leading schools in the UK.”
The new school aims to be operational on or before 2026 according to the interview, and located in Dubailand.
Interstar’s leadership team includes newly appointed Jonathan Hughes D’Aeth, Governor at South View School and David Flint, Head at South View School both who have a strong track record and pedigree in establishing outstanding schools and boarding facilities.
The new school's plan comes on the tenth anniversary of Victory Heights Primary School in Dubai.
Mr Kothari told SchoolsCompared.com this was not the limit of current planning:
"After this we will plan another Indian curriculum school. Again we are at the point of having made an offer on the land."
