Graduation ceremonies for senior students in Dubai can now go ahead, according to the emirate's education regulator, the KHDA.

Notification of approval came via the regulator's twitter account, which couched the exuberance with the notice that health and safety protocols still need to be followed, and celebrations would specifically be for senior students finishing high school.

In its tweet the Knowledge and Human Development Authority wrote:

Great news for graduates! Graduation ceremonies for Dubai private school students finishing high school can go ahead this year, provided they keep in line with specific health & safety protocols.

#Congraduations... it added.

Power moves on display as the KHDA schools students as to how it's done in its graduation tweet.

Reactions to the announcement were hugely positive, although some respondents worried it was too late for their school.

If your school intends to convert a virtual event into a real world one, please let us know, and we will add the details here!

No details for any other emirate has been released.
