Although the French curriculum might only have five schools in Dubai, all but one, have performed exceedingly well in the 2015/16 KHDA school inspections. In the recent round of inspections the curriculum racked-up: two Outstandings, a Very Good, a Good and a first inspection- Acceptable. For the second consecutive year the Lycee Francais International Georges Pompidou Primary Oud Metha has been awarded Outstanding, it's been joined this year by its sister school, the Lycee Francais International Georges Pompidou School (Academic City). Inspection teams commended the Lycee Francais International Georges Pompidou School (Academic City) on the Outstanding attainment and progress in English, French, mathematics and science in all phases of the school. They also noted excellent linguistic skills of students where a majority could speak three languages fluently. In addition the school offered; Outstanding teaching in every phase, Outstanding assessment procedures and practices in Primaire and Lycée. and effective implementation and design of the curriculum supported the strong achievements of students. The inspectors also noted that leaders at all levels in the school shared an exceptionally clear strategic direction that was focused on providing the very best learning outcomes and personal development for all students. Other French Schools The Lycee Libanais Francophone Prive Dubai rose up the rankings this year from its consistently Good rating to Very Good. The Lycee Francais International once again ranked Good, and has now completed 8 unblemished years at a Good rating. In its first inspection the French/IB curriculum International Concept Education (ICE) was rated Acceptable by inspectors. Value for Money Not only do the French schools offer their students an exceedingly strong education, they’re also one of the most affordable school options available in Dubai too. The Lycee Francais International Georges Pompidou School (Dubai Branch), new 2016/17 fees are AED 31,400 to AED 43,000, while the Lycee Francais International Georges Pompidou Primary Oud Metha’s new fees are a flat rate of AED 26,062 throughout the school. The Lycee Libanais Francophone Prive-Dubai rated Very Good, is a little more expensive at AED 23,151 to AED 49,610.
