GEMS Vertus School and GEMS Founders School – Mizhar will open in Dubai, while an international curriculum school will open on Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi, and an Indian curriculum school will open in Sharjah.
All the schools are for the 2018/2019 academic year.

GEMS Vertus School will be located in the Al Waha region of Dubai, and will offer the National Curriculum for England. It will start with Foundation Stage to Year 8 with fees from AED 34,000 to 42,500, the school will be led by John Hughes, who was until recently the Vice Principal of GEMS Metropole School.
GEMS Founders School – Mizhar, will be located in Al Mizhar, near Mirdif. Nigel Cropley, most recently principal of GEMS Winchester School – Abu Dhabi, will lead the school, which will offer the National Curriculum for England to students from Foundation Stage to Year 8 with fees ranging from AED 22,000 to 29,000.
GEMS Education will also open a new school in the Juwaiza’a area of Sharjah. Open initially to students from Kindergarten to Grade 5, the Indian Curriculum school will seek to encourage natural growth in the older grades. Michael Guzder, Vice President – Indian Schools, GEMS Education will support the school, which will be led by Principal, Sangita Chima.
Sangita has more than 30 years' experience in education and joins the new school from The Lawrence School - Lovedale in Ooty, India.
In Abu Dhabi, GEMS will open a new International Curriculum School on Al Reem Island. This new IB curriculum school will cater to students from Kindergarten to Year 5.
