The Festival of Schools was a sell-out HIT at the inaugural event at Safa British School! This week, the Festival moves on to GEMS FirstPoint School – The Villa. This uber friendly British curriculum school in the heart of Dubailand will welcome existing families, prospective families and the wider community on Saturday 13th November, 9am-12pm. The Festival of Schools got off to a fantastic start at Safa British School on Friday 5th November!  The SOLD OUT event saw existing Safa families come together as a community once again....while new families experienced the unique warmth and ethos of a Safa British School education.

This weekend, the Festival of Schools hops across town to GEMS FirstPoint School – The Villa, where Principal Matthew Tompkins and his team have a day packed full of activities, fun and surprises for families of children of all ages. Tickets are FREE but booking fast – ACT NOW to secure your spot!

Getting There

GEMS FirstPoint School is situated in The Villa development, Dubailand, just off the Al Ain Road (E66). The school is close to both Al Habtoor Polo Club and Dubai Outlet Mall. For those who prefer public transport, the area is well served by buses and - plan your journey with the RTA Journey Planner.

Breakfast - caffeinate and grab a croissant

The Villa is home to the Centro shopping centre, which has great parking and a convenient array of shops, including a Spinneys, an Extreme Fun Play Centre plus a Starbucks for the caffeine shot ahead of a busy morning.

The Dubailand area has a few great options for families who would like to extend their day out in the beautiful November sunshine.

Dubai Safari Park

Dubai Safari Park is an incredible experience for children (and grown-ups!) of all ages. Just over 20 minutes-drive from GEMS FirstPoint School, the park is home to more than 3000 animals including lions, tigers, bears, rhinos and elephants! Tickets are free for children under the age of 3, but families should book in advance for this ever-popular experience. More information – HERE.

Bargain Shopping at Dubai Outlet Mall

Dubai Outlet Mall is THE spot to grab a bargain in Dubai. Top designer brands (including, Chloe, Givenchy, Dolce and Gabbana, Adidas, Hugo Boss, Athletes Co and more) can be found in amongst the many cafes and eateries at the Mall. Dubai Outlet Mall is a quick 15-minute drive from the Festival of Schools and is open from 10am -10pm daily.

The Sport of Kings – Polo at Al Habtoor Polo

The stunning Al Habtoor Polo Club is just 5 minutes drive from GEMS FirstPoint School.
