Dubai’s first Chinese international school will open within the next two years, according to reports in Professionals in Education News.

Few details have been revealed about the location, the size of the school and how many pupils it will accommodate. $33 million will be spent on its development and it will teach a curriculum in Mandarin. Leading the project is Lucy Chuang, founder and director of the Chinese Learning Centre (CLC) which has been operating in the city for eight years.

“There is big potential,” Chuang told The PIE News. “Our parents are just straight-forward in saying that learning Chinese is the weapon for the future of their children.
