Al Ain Medical School Gets New Extension
Al Ain’s medical school The College of Medical and Health Sciences is to get a new 12,500 square feet extension allowing it to accept up to 500 more students.
The new building will be home to auditoriums, tutorial rooms, laboratories and clinical examination rooms.
Talking to the National, executive director of Urban Development and Estidama Sector at Urban Planning Council, Mohamed Al Khadar,said, “the College of Medicine and Health Sciences is an important and historical facility. We are delighted that the expansion will fit in so seamlessly with the existing facility, and that many more students will now be able to further raise the standard of health care in our country.”
The college of Medical and Health Sciences, part of the UAE University, opened in Al Ain in 1984 and offers tertiary education in medical sciences, pharmacy and public health.
