Construction of the primary phase of the newest Arcadia Education school will commence imminently. Earlier this week Dr Abdullah Al Karam, Director General of Dubai’s KHDA, attended a ground breaking ceremony for the new school.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Al Karam said that “…the pandemic had proven that we need more physical schools, because there can be no replacement for a school”. Dr Al Karam went on to reflect that “We have seen every home with a school, but what we need is for every school to be a home.”
Mohan Valrani, Senior Vice Chairman of the Al Shirawi Group of Companies and the Founder and Chairman of The Arcadia School also spoke at the event. Mr Valrani described the group’s desire to start a “value school” that would address the needs of a broad spectrum of Dubai families. The intention, he said, was for the new school to have the “Arcadia ethos at a value price”.
Executive Principal of Arcadia School, Giles Pruett, echoed the sentiments of Mr Valrani, saying that Arcadia Global School would ensure the group could “nurture lifelong learning for all children, at every entry point”.
