Inspection Reports Out for Abu Dhabi Schools

In line with ADEK's policy, schools in Abu Dhabi are inspected every two years. After taking into account the first inspections since early 2020, Abu Dhabi Emirate now has 11 Outstanding schools, 37 Very Good schools, 83 Good schools and 65 Acceptable schools according to the latest reports. Two schools remain Weak, but there are no schools rated Very Weak.  

Far from there being a down-turn in performance due to the lack of inspections in the second part of 2019-20 academic year and throughout the 2020-21 academic year due to the Covid 19 pandemic, it seems that the break from inspections and the move to online learning have had a positive effect on the performance of many schools in the emirate.

In addition to Brighton College Al Ain and Abu Dhabi  (operated by  Bloom Education), Al Muna, Al Yasmina and The Pearl Academies, and Cranleigh Abu Dhabi (operated by Aldar Education), Merryland International School, Raha International School and The British School Al Khubeirat, Repton Foundation School (Rose Campus) and The British International School Abu Dhabi have also been awarded the highest rating.

Among the 37 Very Good rated schools, Ajyal International School - Al Falah, Al Ain English Speaking School, Al Bashair Private School, Al Dhafra Private School Abu Dhabi, Al Ittihad National Private School - Khalifa City, Al Ittihad National Private School - Shakhbout City, Al Mamoura Academy, Amity International School, Belvedere British School Abu Dhabi, Bright Riders School, Canadian International School, Emirates National School Al Nayhan, GEMS Cambridge International School, GEMS Winchester School Abu Dhabi, IInternational Community School Mushrif, Liwa International Private School Al Ain,  Rosary Private School, Saint Joseph's School, and The Cambridge High School were added to the list of the second most highly rated schools.

Among schools that received their first inspection rating, Bhavans Pearl Wisdom School and Liwa International School Mushrif achieved Good ratings - the highest rating allocated on first inspection. Beaconhouse School Al Ain achieved an Acceptable rating.

Five schools saw their rating decline - these were Al Ain American Private School,  Asian International School, Creative British School, Horizon Private School and United School of Baniyas, where ratings fell from Good to Acceptable.
