With week one done and dusted, schools around the city have now had time to see who has arrived for the new academic year and who has jetted off to cooler climes during the summer months.

So, if you've just arrived or want to change schools, WhichSchoolAdvisor.com has availability in some of Dubai's favourite Affordable schools.

 

GEMS Founders
UK curriculum GEMS Founders might actually be the most popular school in Dubai right now, if the numbers are anything to go by. After only one year of operation the school has added 1,500 new students, 66 new classrooms and over 100 teachers!

Fees: AED 22,000 to AED 29,000

Availability: currently there are (very limited) spaces in: Years 3, 5, 7 & 9.

Al Salam Private School
This UK curriculum school with strong SEN provision and consistently good GCSE results remains top of many parents' 'wish-lists.' Although rated Good by the KHDA, a closer look though Al Salam's inspection report shows however, that many indicators are actually Very Good and even Outstanding.

Fees: AED 16,580 to AED 30,690

Availability: currently there are very limited spaces in: Years 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12.

Alpha School
Although this school only launched this year, the innovative technology, crafted curriculum and impressive teaching team, have already made Alpha School a hit at WhichSchoolAdvisor.com.

Fees: AED 22,750 to AED 31,700

Availability: Limited places in FS1 to Year 6

Dubai Scholars 
With over 40 years of history 'under its belt' Scholars is truly a much loved institution in Dubai.  Rated Good by the KHDA for 6 consecutive years, Dubai Scholars is not only vibrant and welcoming, but ambitious for high academic achievement with an outstanding performing arts programme too!

Fees: AED 14,341 to AED 29,500

Availability: Only four seats remaining in Year 12

Oaktree Primary
Although it only opened last year, Oaktree has in a short space of time, become known for its warm and welcoming community feel and of course, not forgetting its affable principal Chris McDermott who in his previous posting steered Jumeirah College to an Outstanding rating.

Availability: Limited spaces from Year 1 to 5
