48 hrs for Malls, Restaurants... to Close

Malls and restaurants will be closed for a renewable period of two weeks from Wednesday. Supermarkets and pharmacies will remain open. Restaurants will be able to deliver.

The UAE has ordered commercial centres and shopping malls to close for a renewable period of two weeks. The ruling will take force from Wednesday, and includes fish, meat and vegetable markets

In a statement early Monday, the Ministry of Health and Prevention and National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management said the decision will be subject to re-assessment. It excludes wholesalers. 

Grocery stores and pharmacies are also excluded, subject to review and evaluation.

Under the decision, restaurants will not be allowed to receive customers. Home deliveries will continue.
