UPDATED - 2019-20 KHDA Inspection Results Released

With the disruption to schools and their closure due to Covid-19, the annual DSIB inspections were also delayed. Results for the schools following a September to July academic year that were inspected, are being released by schools publicly now.

As the UAE continues to deal with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, schools, parents and students continue to adjust to the challenges of distance-learning for the remainder of the current term, with many hoping that some form of normality will return after the summer.

Not only have school operations been disrupted, but the annual KHDA process of inspections by its DSIB teams was also brought to a sudden halt with the closure of schools to staff and students.  We understand that the KHDA plans to release all reports, both for the 'traditional' inspection process and the Distance Learning Evaluation taking place currently, once these are completed.

The KHDA had already announced in September last year that schools who had been rated Outstanding and Very Good would not receive the full inspection this year and would retain their rating, based on a one-day slimmed down version of the inspection. And, in the meantime, reports for Indian schools were released as usual in January.

Full details of all ratings for 2018-19 (Outstanding and Very Good schools, and those not inspected in 2019-20 due to Covid-19), and 2019-20 Indian curriculum school ratings can be found here

Schools who commenced the academic year in September 2019 and were due for inspection in term 1 and the first part of term 2 were also visited as usual by the DSIB inspection teams.  It is these reports that are being released by some schools now.

So far, WhichSchoolAdvisor.com has been advised of the following changes or confirmations of ratings, and reviews for the schools concerned, together with the new 2019-20 reports, have been updated.  We will continue to add to this list as details become available.
