YMOTYA - Mentoring for your Live Performance
Shortlisted candidates for this year's Young Musician of the Year Award will have a life changing opportunity to be mentored by Abbo Abbondandolo at a Masterclass session prior to their performance at the Theatre by QE2.
Abbo is an award-winning singer-songwriter at the forefront of Dubai's booming underground acoustic music scene. He is a former student and lecturer at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute Brighton, lecturing in songwriting, performance techniques and gig preparation.
Locally Abbo has developed open-mic platforms to nurture new talent, helps mentor up-and-coming artists, and in 2016, funded and oversaw the production of "GoPlayTheWorld Volume One", a collection of original tracks from UAE musicians.
The mentoring session will take place in the week commencing 3rd November, shortly before the live performance, to help shortlisted finalists prepare for the show at the Theatre by QE2.
