UK Academic Boarding Schools at a Glance
If you are considering a UK boarding school, these are, presently, the country's top achievers when it comes to A' Level and IB.
Note, choosing a boarding school is not only about academic results, however it is one of the prime considerations for parents when thinking about taking this option.
That said, many boarding schools take great pride in developing the person and their talents, rather than single mindedly focusing on academic results. If you're child is gifted in other areas - painting, music, drama... it is clearly worth your while looking at schools more holistically.
Few schools in the UAE publish their results in the same way as in the UK, so direct comparison is actually quite difficult. However for reference, 74.2% of pass results last year at Dubai College were A*/A grade, its best result in its 36 year history, and probably the best performer in the UAE.
The average IB score in the UAE is around the 30-31 mark.
