Brighton College Dubai will offer a Foundation through to Year 13 British curriculum, while Dwight School will be offering KG to Grade 12 IB curriculum.

Construction on the 89,000 square metre campus will commence shortly on a site believed to be located at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

While this will be Dwight School New York’s first venture in the Middle East, the school already has branches in London, Seoul and Shanghai.

Although most Dwight Schools do not publish academic results, Dwight London states that it is ‘non-selective’ and in 2016 the IB Diploma average score was 30.

Brighton College is well established in the UAE with an Outstanding rated campus in Al Ain and another school in Abu Dhabi.

Richard Cairns, principal at Brighton College UK said, “Brighton College is the UK’s top co-educational school, renowned for combining academic excellence with a wealth of extra-curricular opportunities, all underpinned by a deep commitment to the individual needs and enthusiasms of each boy or girl. We are looking forward to opening Brighton College Dubai and to giving parents in Dubai the opportunity to offer their sons or daughters a truly world-class education in one of the world’s greatest cities.”

Stephen Spahn, chancellor of The Dwight Schools said, “Dwight New York is delighted to extend Dwight’s 150-year commitment to ‘igniting the spark of genius in every child’ to Dubai, where students will be part of one global Dwight family. Dwight has long pioneered opportunities for students to become innovative global leaders and our new school in Dubai will join those in New York, London, Seoul, and Shanghai that share this mission.”
