A WhichSchoolAdvisor.com "Good School", and also rated as Outstanding by the KHDA (one of 12 in the whole of Dubai), Dubai English Speaking College is an England and Wales based secondary school - offering both IGCSE and A' Levels.
As a secondary school DESC is relatively small (but growing) with 950 students (up from 842 in 2012/13 and even more significantly from the 737 students in 2011/12), aged 11 to 18 years.
Academically it delivers. For the 2013 academic year, the last set of published results, the school’s GCSE results were impressive with 94% A*-C grades, and 90% of students achieving 5 A* -C (including English and Maths). The school has now had three years of A Level results and in 2013 it achieved an overall pass rate of 98% with over 70% at A* -C. According to the principal, when "you put in to context that DESC itself is still a relatively young school, with a sixth form centre that is only 4 years old, this is, as recognised in our last DSIB report, an outstanding school.” Note: These results are more impressive given DESC is not academically selective.
And the school delivers more than academically. Good student behaviour, self-discipline, consideration for others; outstanding teaching, learning and assessment in most subjects; a supportive caring and learning environment; its partnership with parents (2011) and dynamic leadership (2012/13 and 2013/14) are all recognized the school's inspection reports.
Your ratings are also pretty consistently high. Only Arabic language provision seems to satisfy you marginally less well than other indicators.
