CBSE Results: The UAE Leads the Gulf

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) India, has reported that the UAE is leading the Gulf countries in this year’s exam results.

Thirty-one UAE schools, with a total of 8,000 students sat the CBSE exams this year, and UAE newspaper Gulf News reports the results as having been, “spectacular.”

This year’s top performing students in all streams were from: Indian High School, Delhi Private School, Our Own English High School, Dubai and Sharjah and Abu Dhabi Indian High School, Abu Dhabi.

Pankti Rajesh Shah  from the Indian High School (IHS) Dubai came top in the science stream in the UAE, with 490/500, and 98 per cent.

Also from the Indian High School, Ameera Zaheer earned top score in the humanities stream with 97.2 per cent.`

Rutvi Bhavin Mithani, from Our Own English High School Sharjah, came top of the commerce stream with 96.6 per cent and Kirtna Rajeev of Our Own English High School, Sharjah came second with 96.4 per cent. .

The largest school to take part this year was the Indian High School which put 514 students forward for the examinations and achieved an impressive 100 per cent result with nearly 40 per cent of students achieving 90 per cent and above.

Ashok Kumar, CEO of the Indian High School told Gulf News: “we are proud and overwhelmed with the fantastic performance of our students.”
