The UAE Ministry of Education has launched a science fair to be held in February 2018. The best project at the fair will be given the Young Scientist Award.

The National Science, Technology and Innovation (NSTI) Festival will be held at the Dubai Festival Arena from February 15 to 19, 2018.

The UAE Ministry of Education will hold the festival, which will be part of the UAE Innovation Month. The innovation month will run from February 1 to 28.

In a statement, Hussain Ebrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, said: “ The event has taken a new trajectory towards involving the entire community with the addition of the all-new family festival to promote science, innovation, technology and scientific research in an edutaining family-friendly environment.”

The NSTI Festival 2018 will also witness the launch of the first-of-its-kind Industrial Revolution X programme developed in partnership with a prominent international partner, he added.

The ministry has created several initiatives aiming to attract UAE nationals in science, technology and innovation.

The outdoor Family Festival will offer adventure activities, workshops and shows. It will include Arts, Eats, Beats, Makes and Reads elements for all ages. There will be live music, art projects and food truck chains as well.

The NSTI Festival 2018 will consist of a science fair, conference, exhibition student retreat, hackathon, Fikrati competition and an awards ceremony.
