Parents will know by the end of this month how much more they will be paying in school fees next year.  The Ministry of Education has issued a statement saying that it is completing its assessment of all private school applications to increase school fees for the academic year 2014-2015.

Following the submission of a formal application, schools are then subject to inspection visits by the MoE, a process which began three weeks ago according to a spokesman.  Schools need to justify the increase based on improvements in three areas - services, staff or infrastructure.

According to a recent survey by WhichSchoolAdvisor.com the cost of schooling in the UAE is a source of financial stress for more than 80 percent of parents.
