The online signing option for the parent-school survey is increasing in popularity, the KHDA reports today.

According to a press release from the KHDA, more parents than ever are turning to the online option, when it comes to completing the parent-school contract.

The smart service has become increasingly popular with one in every four parents now signing the contract online – up by 20 percent from last year.

Amal Belhasa, CEO of knowledge and human development policies at KHDA, said, “schools play a very important role in informing parents about the importance of the contract."

"By encouraging parents to read and sign the contract online, we are saving time, effort and resources and making it convenient for everyone.”

The service offers a smart signature facility for parents, with school contracts now available to sign on either the KHDA app or the ‘Happy Home’ portal.

Parents only have to go to the school if their child is being registered for the first time.

Belhasa continued, “this year, most schools have encouraged parents to sign the parent-school contract online and we’ve seen a big jump in the popularity of online contracts. Going forward, we hope more schools will work with their parent community to promote the smart service.”

Signing the parent-school contract is mandatory to register any student at a private school in Dubai.

The contract ensures both parents and schools are aware of their duties and responsibilities.

This academic year saw JSS Private School in Dubai registering a staggering 99.7 percent of their contracts online.

Other schools registering significant numbers of online contracts include, St. Mary’s Catholic High School and Lycee Libanais Francophone Prive.
