Esol Education has broken ground on its new flagship American school, Dunecrest American School, located on Mohammed bin Zayed Road near Al Barari and the Living Legends developments.

The school will open for the 2018/19 academic year and is Esol Education’s ninth international American school.

The school group claims to be the world’s largest operator of accredited international American schools, and has a presence in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Egypt, Cyprus, and Lebanon.

Dunecrest American School will launch initially with Pre-KG to Grade 10 its first year, and will offer an accredited American curriculum with the option of the IB Diploma programme in Grades 11 and 12. 

Dr. Abdulla Al Karam, chairman of the board of directors and director general of the KHDA and other representatives from the KHDA and United States Consulate General were in attendance at the ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Dr Abdulla Al Karam said, “Esol Education has built a solid reputation for providing high-quality teaching and learning in Dubai, and has always placed great value on diversity within its schools. We look forward to seeing this trend continue at Dunecrest.”

 Mr. Walid Abushakra, Esol Education Chairman, added, “Dunecrest’s campus, optimally designed for leading-edge teaching and learning, will be home to a warm and caring school community, offering a holistic education that will be academically challenging, enabling them to fully develop as critical thinkers and lifelong learners.”
